The Cornell Thesis...
Well, since I have not turned it into the grad school, better not publish it
here, sorry.
Here's some of the references, a few pictures of
the building, data pictures below.
The whole thing will go here once it is official.
What is known:
-
my thesis advisor is Alan Hedge,
professor in the Department of Design & Environmental Analysis, College of Human Ecology.
- it is about an "intelligent" building.
- it is a post-occupancy evaluation (POE) of such a building.
- I've got the data and did
scientific visualizations of the data using IBM
Data Explorer, which allows one to program "nets"
that manipulate raw data into pictures. Examples of the visualizations:
- I presented the gist at the "Intelligent Building Institute/International
Facilities Management Association Intellibuild '95
Conference" in Atlanta on
June 6, 1995, and submitted a proceedings paper.
- Most of the chapters are done. A few years at MIT (where I moved by
the time of the conference above) got in the way of finishing it. Since
I am absolutely completed at MIT now (Yeah! :-), this thesis is priority #2, a
job is #1.
